Amidst the Industrial action at Heathrow Terminal 5,
Here’s what the airport authority has communicated with its travellers.
“As you will be aware, security staff at London Heathrow Terminal 5 are scheduled to take strike action, beginning today, Friday 31 March and ending on Sunday 9 April.
As a result, Heathrow requires us to reduce the number of passengers travelling during the period and as such, we’ve regrettably airline had to make a small number of adjustments to our schedule.
We understand that these changes may have disrupted the travel plans of your customers,
and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
If a customer’s flight has been cancelled, they can refer to our Standard customer guidelines for cancellations. Please refer to the policy on British Airways Trade Support | Standard customer guidelines for more information.
Our teams are continuing to work closely with Heathrow to ensure that our customers who are able to travel, can do so with minimal disruption.
Throughout the period, check-in will open 3 hours before departure for long-haul flights and
2 hours before departure for short-haul flights. We will also be giving the option to check-in hand baggage free of charge, by visiting one of our airport check-in desks or self-service bag drops.”
